The shoppe at Shady Gables is easy to find!
We are located just one block east of the courthouse in historic downtown Versailles, Missouri.
At the stoplight at the intersection of Highways 5 and 52, (the only one in our small town!) turn east on Newton Street and go straight approximately 7/10 of a mile. You will see the historic Morgan County Courthouse on your right. Continue straight one more block. We are located in the two-story white Victorian house with the green roof on the corner of South Van Buren and Newton Streets. We are across the street from the new Morgan County Justice Center.
Reservations are required for our Tea Room. Please call now to reserve your table.

Plan to spend an entire afternoon! Arrive early or stay after your tea meal, stroll through our surrounding garden and shop in our charming and well-stocked gift shop. We have searched far and wide to bring you the essential and hard-to-find accouterments you will need to create your own tea traditions at home. Feel free to stop in and browse! No reservations are required for browsers!
We are proud of our small town, Versailles, pronounced Ver-sales. Dating back to 1833 and named for Versailles Kentucky, we are the Morgan County seat known as the western gateway to the Lake of the Ozarks at the crossroads of Highway 5 and 52. There are eight other towns in the United States named Versailles. We are the farthest west. All are pronounced Ver-sales. Not Ver-si, like the one in France! Our Mayor is Terry L. Silvey. Visitors often see him working around the gardens at Shady Gables!
We are pleased to invite you to visit these other establishments when you visit Versailles. Be sure to tell them we sent you!
